Graebner Memorial Chapel
The Graebner Memorial Chapel was built in 1911, with the transformation into a modern chapel completed in 1955. Beautiful stain glass windows along with medium oak chairs and accent pieces bring a cozy feel to the magnificent building. The chapel is named for Dr. Martin Adolph Henry Graebner, who served as second president of Concordia from 1927–1946.
The freestanding chairs can be arranged to accommodate traditional front facing seating with an isle up the center, or it can be arranged in circular patterns with one or multiple isles. The chapel’s capacity is approximately 300.

The new 3500 sq ft addition of the Cross of Christ Fellowship Center adds even more beauty to the existing Chapel. With the addition of a fellowship center, multipurpose rooms, a small kitchen and new bathrooms we have more room for your guests or wedding party to gather before or after the service. Part of the renovation also includes upgrades in sound, lighting, and air conditioning throughout the building.

Receptions
If you need a reception venue, consider our newly remodeled 225 seat Dining Hall with intimate round tables and a stage which is adjacent to our recently remodeled Buenger Education Center (BEC). The BEC may also be set with cocktail tables, chairs, and a dance floor to accommodate up to 200 people. For more versatility and convenience use both spaces!
In addition, our on-site caterer will work one-on-one with you to create an informal buffet or an elegant sit-down dinner for any budget. The possibilities are endless and the menu is exquisite!

Rental Fee
The following are included in the price of the chapel: the rehearsal, your ceremony, two dressing rooms, the use of the grand piano and organ, basic sound with podium microphone and lavaliere microphone, table for guest book and gifts, custodial services, campus security, Sound Technician (for rehearsal and wedding), and Wedding Coordinator (both rehearsal and wedding day). We do not provide a clergy man, but may be able to put you in contact with one. |
