Prospective Graduate Students

Two graduate programs are available through Concordia Saint Paul and in association with the Department of Christian Ministries:

Masters of Arts in Christian Outreach

The Master of Arts in Christian Outreach (MACO) program equips church leaders with a deepened understanding of the theology of God's mission and provides the practical tools necessary to engage in the outreach ministries of the church. For more informations, go to http://www.csp.edu/maco/.

Doctor of Ministry in Christian Outreach

A collaborative learning initiative in missional theology and practice through an extension education offering of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne - the Doctor of Ministry in Christian Outreach (D.Min.). This is the highest professional degree for clergy in North America and focuses on the intersection between theology and practice, combining theological growth with critical reflection on the practice of ministry. This program will be conducted on CSP?s campus through a series of two-week sessions spread over a three year period. Pastors will gain new competencies for outreach through conversation with specialists in Lutheran missional theology and interact with colleagues in ministry.

For more information on this program, contact Dr. Eugene W. Bunkowske at (651) 603-6252, or by e-mailing Bunkowske@csp.edu

Colloquy programs

The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod utilizes a colloquy program to certify those college graduates who seek to be Ministers of Religion, Commissioned, in Lutheran congregations, but who have not, for one reason or another, had formal training in a college or university of the denomination.   For more information on Concordia's colloquy programs, go the colloquy web site.
